Refreshing my living room with Photowall - GIVEAWAY

Nem nagyon kaptam még hivatalos megkeresést partneri együttműködésre, így meglepett, hogy rögtön egy svéd cég keresett meg: próbáljam ki a tapétáit. Mivel úgyis terveztem a nappali átalakítását és a webshopjuk alapján tetszettek a termékeik, így igent mondtam a felkérésre. 

Első körben kicsit elvesztem Photowall webshopjában található nagy és fantasztikus választékban, és több tapéta és mural is tetszett, a két végső befutó egy geomtrikus és egy leopárdos volt, végül az előbbire esett a választásom.

I haven't received a formal request for a collaboration yet, so I was surprised that a Swedish company found me to try their wallpapers. Since I was planning to refresh the living room anyway and I liked their products in their webshop, I said yes to the request.

In the first round, I was lost a little in the large selection of amazing products in the Photowall webshop, and liked more wallpapers and murals. The two finalists were a geomtric and a cheetah patterned, and finally I chose the geometric one.

A választott tapétát méretre gyártják le, és külön kérésre lehet módosítani a színein is, de ha van saját fotód vagy képed (megfelelő felbontásban), abból is tudnak neked tapétát készíteni. Az ügyfélszolgálatuk nagyon segítőkész, bátran kereshetitek őket. 

A Photowall-nál kétféle minőségben kérhetitek a kiválasztott darabot, egy standard és egy prémium. Mindkettő környezetbarát, PVC-mentes, nem fakul ki a napon, és az angol szabványok szerinti tűzvédelmi osztályba van sorolva (nem tűzálló, de lassítja az égést, kevés füst képződik és nincsenek szálló részecskék). 

A prémium kategória mindezek mellett bírja a dörzsölést, tükröződésmentes, extra matt felülettel rendelkezik és tisztítható. Ez jól fog jönni ha vannak gyerekek a házban. ;) 

A megrendelés folyamán meg kell adni, hogy mekkora falfelületre szeretnétek a tapétát feltenni, ahol vagy automatikusan elkészíti az oldal a klasszikus tapétából a látványtervet, vagy muralok esetén szabadon illeszthetitek a mintát, hogy mi legyen rajta és mi nem. A kész terméket 45 cm széles darabokra osztják és egy tekercsben küldik el. Minden darab számozott és mutatja a vágási pontokat, sőt még van egy kis ráhagyás is, ha megcsúszna az olló vagy sniccer. Én javaslom, hogy mikor megadjátok a méreteket, számoljatok rá kb. 5 cm-t, mert a fal egyenetlenségei miatt ez jól fog jönni. 

Összességében a kialakítás bolondbiztos, még én is simán megoldottam a vágást és illesztést. A csomagban pedig ragasztót is küldenek (4 liter vízben kell felodani), amit csak a falra kell felkenni, a tapétra nem.

The wallpaper you choose is made to size and can be customized to your colors upon request, but if you have your own photo or picture (in the right resolution), they can make wallpaper for you. Their customer service is very helpful, feel free to contact them.

At Photowall, you can choose from two qualities, standard and premium. Both are environmentally friendly, PVC-free, does not fade in sunlight, and are fire rated (slows down combustion, generates little smoke and no flaming droplet or particles).

In addition, the premium category is scrape-resistant, anti-reflective, extra matte finish and can be cleaned. This will come in handy if there are kids in the house. ;)

When ordering, you have to specify the size of the wall you want to place the wallpaper on. The site can either automatically create a render of the classic wallpaper or, in the case of mural, you can freely align the pattern on what to use and what not. The finished product is cut into 45 cm wide pieces and shipped in a roll. Each piece is numbered and shows the cutting points, and there is even a slight margin if the scissors or knife slips. I suggest that when you give the dimensions, add approx. 5 cm more on each side, because it will come in handy due to the unevenness of the wall.

All in all, the design is foolproof, and even I could cut and fit. They also send glue, which you should apply to the wall, not to the wallpaper.

Az illesztés sem bonyolult, nem kell átfedni egymást, és megfelelő mennyiségű ragaszó esetén könnyen úsztatható a felületen, hogy a lehető legpontosabban illeszkedjen a minta. Ehhez persze jó ha van segítségetek, mert egyedül nem könnyű tapétázni. Én nyáron próbáltam egy sima fűrészporossal, és hát elég macerás volt egyszerre alul és felül is fogni, illeszteni stb.

Most inkább elhívtam a tesóm segíteni, úgyhogy ketten csináltuk.

Fitting the wallpapers are not complicated, they do not need to be overlapped and, with the right amount of glue, they can easily float on the surface, so you can fit the patterns as accurately as possible. Of course, it is good to have a friend or family member who can help, because it is not easy to fit wallpapers alone. I tried it with a plain one in summer and it was a pretty hard and energy consuming task.

Now I called my brother to help, so we did it together.

A felrakás során a pontos illesztés mellett figyeljetek arra, hogy ne maradjon levegő sehol a tapéta és fal között. Mi ehhez egy tömörebb, de puha felületű szivacsot (filc simító a becsületes neve, főleg fóliázáshoz alkalmazzák - :) a tesóm dekoros, ő hozta) használtunk, amivel többször átsimíthatjátok a felületet, kitolhatjátok a levegőbuborékokat. A boltban kapható simítókefe sem rossz, de szerintem a szivacsos vagy gumis megoldással jobban eldolgozhatók a buborékok. Viszont nem szabad túlságosan rányomni, mert akkor kinyomódik a ragasztó a tapéta alól és azt nem szeretnénk. Egyrészt mert nem ragad fel, másrészt mert összekeni a tapétát. Mondjuk szerencsére ez utóbbi egy nedves ronggyal megoldható, letörölhető.

Egy fél délutánunkba került csak a tapétázás, szóval gyorsan is ment. :) Na, jó bevallom, hogy majdnem egy egész délután tartott, de csak mert menet közben bepottyantak az unokatesómék és akkor tartottunk egy kis pletyka-szünetet. :) 

A kész nappali még alakulóban van, mert egyelőre nincs megfelelő méretű és stílusú szőnyegem, és a sötétítő függönyök és puff huzatok sem érkeztek még meg. A lámpát is cserélni fogom, a stílus már a fejemben van, de még nem forrt ki a dolog. A fotózás kedvéért kipróbáltam az összes szőnyegemmel az dizájnt és hát egyik sem az igazi, de azért remélem ez nem tántorít el Benneteket attól, hogy végiglapozzátok a fotókat. Vigyázat, macskakontent! :)

When laying the wallpaper, make sure that no air remains between the wall and the wallpaper. We used a dense, but soft-sponge (a felt sponge, it is used mainly for foiling - :) my brother is decorator, he brought one for me), which allows you to smooth the surface, push out the air bubbles. The brush  is not bad either, but personally I prefer the sponge. However, do not over-press it, because the glue will come out and we do not want that. If it comes out the wallpaper or mural will not stick. On the other hand because it smudges the wallpaper. Fortunately, the latter can be solved, the glue can be wiped with a damp cloth.

You can work fast . We finished it half of the afternoon. :) Well, I admit that it was almost an afternoon, but just because my cousins ​​popped in and we had a little gossip break. :)

The living room is still under construction because I hate my tiles, and I don't have the right size and style of carpet yet. My black out curtains and puff covers have not arrived yet. I'm going to replace the lamp as well, I have some ideas, but it's not yet ready. For the sake of photography, I tried all the carpets I have, although none of them fit, but I hope it doesn't deter you from flipping through the photos. Beware of the cat! :)

Btw yes, I have an old TV, because it works properly and I try not to increase my electric waste.
So I will continue to use it until it breaks down.
